Why did Lorna Myers make the Jamaican papers this week? Why, she’s done it.

What has Lorna Myers done exactly? She made history. Earlier this week, Myers became the first woman ever to be selected for the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ)'s Hall of Fame.
The PSOJ is an association that manages small businesses & international franchises and their impact on and their survival in the Jamaican economy. For more, click here.

The PSOJ was established in 1976 and has been celebrating their section leaders for over 25 years but this is the first time a woman gets chosen for the HoF? Unacceptable.
Yes, it's like this all over the place. Women being underpaid, overworked, and unappreciated (as my mother always says) is a worldwide #trend that is outdated. I know that when I grow up, I don't want anybody over me. I am (and will always be) strong and independent.
"The selection committee wholeheartedly endorsed Lorna's nomination for induction in the Hall of Fame," said Joseph Matalon, immediate past president of the PSOJ."
I am Jamaican- born and half raised- so I am very proud that Jamaican women are doing well. Our current PM (prime minister) is a woman and the election last winter was her re-election.
Jamaica has a female PM, but is that enough for female success in Jamaica?
