Jason and Kyra by Dana Davidson. Pg 81 of 327.

Dear Kyra,

Girl, I get where you’re coming from. Why would the basketball star, finest, most popular boy in school, Jason, the boyfriend of the baddest girl in school have an interest in you? You’re “considered a brain, and let’s face it, brains were not popular.” (Davidson, pg 72) But it’s okay because you didn't like him anyway – until you guys get paired up on a research paper in AP English. You start to like him, but because you’re not popular and he is, you think that he wouldn't give you the time of day. I say go for it. When you see he starts to flirt, flirt back. Call him first sometimes. Talk about things other than school unlike when he asks you what's up and you answer "Nothing. Did you get a chance to read the paper?" (Davidson, pg 71) and, if the clichés are correct, you guys will be dating in no time.
